Boeing Wichita Credit Union Privacy Policy
Boeing Wichita Credit Union does not participate in the practice of selling private member information to third parties for the promotion of any third party business. It is our intention as a credit union to inform our members of our privacy policy and that private member information will only be provided to third parties for the purpose of promoting credit union products. BWCU will make every effort to review any vendor's privacy policies if available and establish guidelines for all vendors in which the credit union may be required to disclose private member information.
Boeing Wichita Credit Union believes very strongly in maintaining the private and personal information of our members.
General Policy
Boeing Wichita Credit Union deals with information that is subject to laws and regulations which require us to make certain disclosures, take actions for and make disclosures and take action concerning particular information. As a general matter, Boeing Wichita Credit Union does not sell personal information of our membership and does not share with third parties any private information submitted which personally identifies our members. There are several exceptions to this rule, which include, but are not necessarily limited to the following:
Website Policy
Boeing Wichita Credit Union respects our members' privacy on our Website. Our
Website provides valuable information to our members concerning rates, latest
news events, disclosure requirements, service information, product information,
WEB transaction service with bill payment and the ability for our members to
contact us in many ways. It is Boeing Wichita Credit Union's hope that our members
and potential members find our website easy to navigate and very informative.
E-mail: Typically our Website does not require our members to disclose
and personally identifying information. However, members choosing to E-mail
the credit union with questions or comments should be aware that any information
attached to that e-mail address, such as, name or workplace will be revealed
to BWCU. It is Boeing Wichita Credit Union's pledge, however, that when our
members communicate with us via e-mail, we will use your e-mail information
only for the specific purpose of responding to our members comments or questions.
BWCU will not sell our members' E-mail addresses, nor will the credit union
share our members' E-mail addresses with any other third parties that the credit
union may be involved with. The only exception to this rule would be if BWCU
were somehow forced to share this information by a matter of law.
Cookies: Boeing Wichita Credit Union currently does not set cookies on
our members' individual personal computers. However, with our NET-24 product
which allows members to conduct financial transactions on their accounts, our
third party vendor does set cookies on our members' personal computers which
enables them to actually use the product. These cookies contain personal information
on our members. Our contract specifically addresses confidentiality and each
party acknowledges that the confidential information of the other shall remain
the property of the other.
Bulletin Board: Currently Boeing Wichita Credit Union does not offer
our members a bulleting board service. However, there are plans to implement
this service in the near future. When this service is offered, members should
be aware that any information they voluntarily post to an online bulletin board,
the name you use, the e-mail address and any other information a member may
provide may be accessed by others viewing the online message board. This could
result in our members receiving unsolicited e-mail or marketing material from
third parties that Boeing Wichita Credit Union had no control over.
Marketing Solicitations: Currently Boeing Wichita Credit Union does not
offer any online marketing solicitations with interactive data gathering. However,
there are plans to implement these types of activities on our Website in the
future. When this service is implemented, BWCU may from time to time, solicit
information from our members, which requires them to disclose to us certain
personal information. Of course our members would provide this information to
Boeing Wichita Credit Union on a voluntary basis. However, the disclosure of
information to BWCU will be used primarily for the specific promotion the data
is being gathered for or simply to enable the credit union to contact our members
with additional information about our products and services that BWCU offers.
Electronic Statements & Regulatory Disclosures: Currently Boeing Wichita
Credit Union does not offer to members the option of receiving their statements
and other disclosure material by electronic means. However, there are plans
to begin the implementation of this service. When this service is implemented,
BWCU may from time to time, solicit information from our members, which requires
them to disclose to us certain personal information. Of course our members would
provide this information to Boeing Wichita Credit Union on a voluntary basis.
Boeing Wichita Credit Union reserves the right to change this policy at any
time by posting and disclosing a new privacy policy.
